She Inspires Me celebrates the contributions and achievements of women at work and within our community, highlighting their resilience, strength, and ability to thrive personally and professionally.
Since March 2023, our founder Michelle Boundy has traveled all over Australia, meeting thousands of inspiring people and sharing their stories on her social media and website. The stories shared went viral and she received hundreds of messages from people around the world who stated the stories inspired and gave them hope in their own circumstances.
Tell Your Story
Our Tell Your Story initiative amplifies the voices of women who have broken barriers, overcome bias, and redefined success. It spotlights journeys of perseverance, navigating challenges like work-life integration and societal expectations, while fostering dialogue about creating equitable workplaces. Through this platform, we advocate for policies that empower women, drive gender equity, and inspire meaningful change.
In 2025, we celebrate women who have overcome diversity, achieved financial independence, built fulfilling careers, and led as innovators, nurturers, and pioneers - proving that women can have it all and that the future holds no limits for those bold enough to dream. She Has the Courage to Lead
She Has the Courage to Lead is a podcast that brings together Australia’s most influential women to share their personal stories and experiences of leadership. Each episode explores what it truly means to lead with purpose and authenticity, and why it is crucial to support and uplift women in the workplace. These conversations highlight the challenges, triumphs, and lessons learned along the way, offering powerful insights for women looking to lead with impact and create positive change in their careers and communities. Series three (3) includes award-winning TV Personalities, Journalists, Commissioners and other Senior Government Dignitaries who highlight the significant efforts being made to advance women's experiences and opportunities in the workplace. Our Focus for 2025 is Women at Work
The Women at Work initiative, launched on International Women's Day in March 2024, strives to educate, empower, and enhance the lives of women in the workplace, fostering kinder and safer environments for all Australian workers. Michelle, a Subject Matter Expert in Workplace Safety, Workplace Culture, and Wellbeing has successfully implemented two wellbeing reforms within two distinct Governments, earning numerous accolades for her contributions. She has an extensive territory education, highly regarded and respected in Government and known Nationally for her advocacy on wellbeing and safety. Michelle frequently attends events to share her vast knowledge, experience, and dedication to creating kinder and safer workplaces for women at work.
The Fair Work Ombudsman Anne Booth
Our founder Michelle Boundy recently met with Anna Booth, the Fair Work Ombudsman, who shares her remarkable career spanning over 45 years. Her career in industrial relations spans unions, private enterprise, and public service, making her a transformative leader in fostering fair workplaces. Currently the patron of the Industrial Relations Society of NSW, Anna has served as a Deputy President of the Fair Work Commission, Director of CoSolve Pty Ltd, and held key roles at ME Bank, IFM Investors, and Slater & Gordon Ltd. In her early career, Anna championed workers’ rights as National Secretary of the Textile, Clothing, and Footwear Union of Australia and Vice President of the Australian Council of Trade Unions. Her expertise extends to board positions with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, the Sydney Olympics, and NRMA Ltd. A mediator accredited under the National Mediator Accreditation System and an economics graduate of the University of Sydney, Anna’s career is a testament to her leadership, innovation, and commitment to equity in the workplace. Women's Safety Commissioner Dr Hannah Tonkin
This week, Michelle had the privilege of meeting with Dr. Hannah Tonkin, the inaugural Women's Safety Commissioner, to discuss She Inspires Me and my vision to create kinder, safer workplaces through my latest initiative, Women at Work. Dr. Tonkin's role is pivotal in leading and coordinating efforts across the NSW Government to combat domestic, family, and sexual violence. She fosters collaboration between government, non-government organizations, and the broader community, ensuring victim-survivors have a stronger voice in shaping policies and programs. As a driving force for change, Dr. Tonkin also champions awareness, education, and public engagement to enhance women’s safety. Her leadership and commitment align closely with our shared mission to build workplaces and communities where safety, respect, and empowerment are central. The 2024 Women in Travel Awards
This week Michelle was invited as a guest to the 2024 Women in Travel Awards by our very inspiring Sofia Geraghty Deputy Editor of Travel Weekly. This year’s theme is ‘Follow her lead’ and we’ll be championing the power of community and women in the industry working together to create the best experiences possible for Australian travelers. Hundreds of guests attended this event, which was held at Doltone House, Darling Island on our world-famous Sydney Harbour overlooking our incredible city. The Women in Travel Awards celebrate the women who have achieved astronomical success in their careers, making invaluable contributions to the industry. With 55 per cent of Australian tourism identifying as women, it is clear that women aren’t just working in travel - they are leading it! It was a privilege to attend the Sydney CBD Women in Business Network event at Cowell Clark Commercial Law Firm. Hosted by the CBD Sydney Chamber of Commerce, the event brought together business leaders dedicated to connection, growth, and advocacy for SMEs across diverse industries. The highlight was an inspiring keynote by the remarkable Cathy Dimarchos global award-winning Business Advisor, Ted X Speaker, Humanitarian, and Author. 2025 Syndey Festival
We are absolutely delighted to support the 2025 Sydney Festival. Its 49th edition has more than 130 events, 22 world premieres, 24 Australian exclusives, and over 50 free events. The stage is set on 3 January for our official festival Welcome at Walsh Bay and the opening of Animal by Cirque Alfonse at Riverside Theatres Parramatta. This year’s program is bursting with exceptional local and international talent. We dive into compelling narratives through commissions of A Model Murder, a true Sydney crime story, and KATMA, an electrifying street-dance creation directed by Sudanese dancer/choreographer Azzam Mohamed and a taste of Las Vegas with Siegfried and Roy: The Unauthorised Opera. Women in Media
Women in Media is a not-for-profit registered charity that exists to help women in media excel, learn, contribute, and connect. With over 6,400 members nationwide and branches in each state and territory, members work in all facets of the media including journalism, communications, production, public relations, advertising, marketing, publishing and digital media. Our initiatives aim to increase gender equality, extend leadership and economic participation opportunities for women, and build a safer, more respectful culture in Australian workplaces.
Women in Law
We proudly support Women in Law, including the Connecting Lawyer Mums which was founded by Lauren Cassimatis, an Ambassador of She Inspires Me. Lauren is dedicated to boosting the well-being, confidence, and careers of criminal lawyer mums and related professionals throughout Australia. With over 12,500 subscribers the network offers informative and engaging events, support in a secure online forum, valuable resources, and professional networking.
